About Bright Beginnings Bilingual Program
Introduction to Our Story
Bright Beginnings Bilingual Program is more than just a daycare—it is a nurturing home where every child is supported to grow at their own pace. Founded by Ms. Elba, the program was created with a vision: when children learn in their own way, they learn for life. This guiding philosophy shapes every part of our licensed home daycare in Dedham, Massachusetts.
At our warm, family-centered environment located at 19 Denmark Street, children from infancy through toddlerhood experience learning that goes beyond letters and numbers. We encourage them to explore, create, and communicate in ways that fit their personalities and developmental stages. Parents trust us because our approach combines small group care, bilingual education, social and emotional growth, and safety practices upheld by CPR-certified staff.
Our Founder
My name is Elba, and my journey in education and child care has been both personal and professional. I was born in Boston, Massachusetts, but raised in a small town in Puerto Rico, where community involvement and service became a central part of my life. In 2000, I returned to Boston with my family and soon began volunteering in educational programs, both at a Latino shelter and with the training department of Child Care Choices of Boston. My professional path started in 2002 as a certified assistant in family child care. From there, I was offered a teacher position with a Head Start Program and later worked as a Spanish teacher for preschoolers in a private program. In 2015, I followed my vision and opened Bright Beginnings Bilingual, a family child care program where I could create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment. Along the way, I earned two CDA credentials, one in Preschool Center-Based Education and another in Bilingual Family Child Care. I completed my associate degree in early childhood education at Urban College of Boston and recently earned a bachelor’s degree in early education and care in Inclusive Settings, with a concentration in infant and toddler education. For me, every day spent with children is a new adventure—an opportunity to inspire, learn, and grow together in an environment where curiosity and discovery are at the heart of learning.

How We Put Our Values Into Practice
Our daily schedule balances routine and flexibility. Infants receive responsive care with close attention to feeding, naps, and comfort. Toddlers thrive with structured yet playful activities like block building, dramatic play, and art exploration. During circle time, we use bilingual greetings, songs, and stories to engage children in two languages. Outdoor play is built into the routine, giving children opportunities to strengthen their gross motor skills, connect with nature, and develop social confidence.
We also integrate early academic skills in a developmentally appropriate way. For example, children explore numbers through sorting, matching, and rhythm games. They strengthen literacy skills with picture books, finger plays, and bilingual storytelling. Art and music encourage creativity, while self-help routines such as handwashing and tidying build independence. Every learning moment is designed to feel natural, enjoyable, and empowering.
